Finding New Ways to Help

With recent restrictions in NC, organizations have had to get creative with new ways to help support local families. We have been so blessed by stories of those who used available tools and resources to serve their communities. Here are just a few examples of local greatness: Peacemakers of Rocky Mount collected and distributed Food boxes for families. They also have been hosting Parent Support meetings via Zoom with great insight and encouragement for families sheltering at home.

The Boys and Girls Club of the Tar River Region has also been working hard to provide meals for their club members. They have also been using their Facebook page to provide daily facts and tips with fun educational information!

Innovative folks in downtown Rocky Mount have organized a group called Downtown Cares to help feed healthcare workers and the elderly in our community. This “pay it forward” type initiative has united many from far and wide. You can see their inspiring stories and videos on their Facebook group. or watch their intro video on YouTube.
